Chocolate Face Scrub

You had me at chocolate. I love chocolate flavored anything as it is. So why not use it in other ways too. Shoot, I would bathe in it if I could. No, seriously. So when the idea came to me as a facial scrub, I figured why the heck not. And even better, this one has coconut in it too! I know right, you wanna know how to make it already. This one is good to eat. But, I wouldn't recommend it. Once you smell this, you'll be tempted to though. Ok, ok- enough already.

The recipe goes as follows.

Ingredients:

1 cup of loosely packed brown sugar

1/2 cup of coconut oil (in solid form)

1/3 cup almond oil

2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder

A few drops of coconut extract or essential oil

Directions:

Throw everything in a bowl and mix until well blended. You can use the back of a spoon to break up the coconut oil, so there's no chunks.

To use:

Just rub all over face, let sit desired amount of time then wash off. I'd say 5 to 10 minutes should be fine. Coconut oil is a great moisturizer. I use it all over my body. Even my hair. It's great for a prepoo if you're into that. And it leaves your skin so SOFT. After a couple weeks, you should start seeing results. It's great as a lip scrub too. We're talking double duty here.

They're also great as a gift. You can make a giant batch, save a bunch for yourself and give some out as gifts. FYI, if you do decide to gift any, sprinkle a couple miniature chocolate chips on top to add a nice touch. These should hold fine at room temperature. You can store them in little travel size jars that you can get at Amazon.com or Walmart in the health and beauty section.

Another good one to try just as a bonus;

Chocolate Sugar Scrub.

So, I'm just gonna cut to the chase.

The recipe is as follows:

1/4 cup cocoa

1 cup sugar ( natural, raw)

1/8 cup of coconut oil

Directions:

Mix together and enjoy!
