New Year, (New) Same You

Let's face it. How many of us have made the same ol tired resolutions time and time again. Every single year. Only to give up on them before the month is over. Often times then not, in a few weeks.

Losing weight seems to be the main one. "I have to lose 20 pounds, so I can fit into my bathing suit by summer.". Or it could saving more money, and shopping less.

The easiest way I found to do this is to take baby steps. It could be as simple as making your own coffee at home instead of stopping at Starbucks every day. Or saving all the spare change you have during the week and putting it in a empty coffee can. Believe me, it adds up. By the end of the year you could have enough to take a vacation. Heck, even by the end of a month, enough to buy a new outfit. Buy lunch.all the spare change you have during the week and putting it in a empty coffee can. Believe me, it adds up. By the end of the year you could have enough to take a vacation. Heck, even by the end of a month, enough to buy a new outfit. Buy lunch.

Try teaming up with a friend. Or joining a facebook group to give you some motivation. Start a support group on your twitter or instagram and get your followers to join you and or hold you accountable.

The best way not to break any resolutions, is not to make any. Really wanna make a change in your life? Make it small. Start off by planning your menu for the week. Making them ahead of time. Pick a day every week to prep and cook. Or do it step by step. Try cutting soda out of your diet or coffee or sweets. Then once you get a hold on move on to your next goal.

Ive learned the hard way. Oh, So many days I said "I'm going to go to the gym after work", then make an excuse like "oh, I'm so tired ", "It's too late". You can think of every a million reasons when you don't want to do something. But, not a million when you need to do something. Which leads to failure and even low self esteem. So, do yourself a favor and don't, Make any promises you can't keep that is.
So, instead of new you. Why not improved you? Even if it takes a little longer. Something is better than nothing at all. And at least you still meet your goals.
